Getting Started

I've had this idea in my head for sometime now and have been slowing working on parts of it. I love to knit, crochet, and spin (along with a ton of other crafty things) and recycled a few sweaters for their yarns last fall after reading an article about. I bought several that first day and had a blast unraveling them and getting the yarn all organized.

Since then though, I've only made one project with some of the yarn and plied some more into some yarn I was spinning. But I've been thinking about the fun I had treasure hunting for the sweaters themselves. I have been talking about all this with Matt and we decided maybe I could just sell the yarn I recycle, that way I could still go out on my little hunts and get the yarns all ready but not have them stacking up all over my craft room. And I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who would love to have some wonderful yarns that are not only a great deal but are also recycled, without having to do all of the leg work.

This blog is going to be where I show off some of the sweaters before I recycle them. It'll give you a chance to see the before and after, see what yarns are going to be coming up for sale on etsy soon, and it'll also help me keep track of what I've done.
